Hello
Well i managed to come in under budget for November:T :T - by £5 but under the £450 none the less so could you put me down for £450 for December - this is to include Christmas dinner for us 5 - but we are out for several days over Christmas. This is going to be helped by Mr T having reopened locally and sending my mum( who donated to me) spend £40 get £8 off for the next 4 weeks!! Which is great as I gave up with the morrison offer as I spent over £100 in my first visit!!! I also have booked in an asda home delivery slot for 22nd december so I need to get meal planning and only buy what I need. I did that this week and carefully choosing enough meat to stretch the week to get home on Sunday evening to find my DH eating a pack of steak that I had earmarked for a meal for 5!! I was not happy:mad:0 -
Hi all,
A little off subject but not really. Went to Tesco's this afternoon DD(4.11.5) ie birthday 23rd December - took the trolley off me and went to the 'yellow sticker' fridge - She said she knew where she was going!!! :rotfl: Have I started something?
The other afternoon in Sainsbury (just called in for a look at offers) she told her brother (11) that the could not buy something because it did not have a yellow sticker on it!!! :rotfl:
Am I a bad mummy????!!!
Hee hee

My grand-daughters are 5.3.25 and 3.8.29, and they know all three spots in each of my local Co-op and S'flds....... they love going "Whoopsie" hunting, and it's something I only started doing with them (3 days a week before school) on 3rd November :rolleyes2
DD went into S'flds after work at the end of the second week, and the girls promptly took her straight to those sections
We're definitely starting them youngCheryl0 -
That is a great idea for kids to only buy things with yellow stickers on them
Would stop the relentless 'Can I have this?'
Spent £1.53 on milk.We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Hi Guys,
Hope you dont mind me posting. I'm not joining the challenge as such, rather being VERY careful with what I am spending and posting and keeping a record here.
We are in a very bad way financially, the end of this month will be a big tell in terms of whether I need to be speaking to the mortgage lender or not-EEEKKK!!!
I used to shop in tesco and think nothing of spending anything upwards of £90 for a family of 5, a rabbit and a cat. I am now trying to turn back to the OS way of life, am cooking from scratch, not buying any cakes or biscuits and making the most of seasonal veg and using left overs.
So tonight I went to Mr A as I had some bits to return (they totalled £32 which was nice but as it was xmas gift being returned and I've now bought replacements elsewhere, I have not used it as a saving on the food bill).
Very proud of myself TBH as have managed to come in at £50.68 which includes food (except milk which is delivered at £10.50pw for 28 pints and eggs which are £2.10 for 18 from a local lady), cleaning products and toiletries. I dont know how this compares with anyone else but for me its a really promising start.
So, I will update my sig and keep posting. Good luck guys!!

I have £3.04 left from my £30 this week, and definately can't fit anything else in the freezer. So, £26.96 spent this week, and all food places full in my kitchen. I've been trying to stock up a bit so that as the supermarkets replace normal food with daft Christmas food, I won't run out of the basics that I need to keep going.
I'm also hoping that as it gets closer to Christmas, my time spent in Asda will be less. I really don't relish the thought of waiting in a huge queue for hours, and I'm reluctant to pay for delivery as I buy so little.0 -
I spent £30.92 in Mr T yest and £2.09 in Mr A for cat food.
Have plenty in the freezer and my mum bought me a 4 stone bag of spuds yest, so going to try and stay away from the supermarkets til after the weekend.Live on a little over £4k challenge
