I don't think anyone is actually doing that actually...
In the main forum where people arrive to state their financial situation, they often declare their income and outgoings. Using this, other forum members pick out certain expenses (generally falling into the category of "luxuries") that the poster can live without and they advise as such. Also they often state that a better deal can be made with another, often named company/supplier, this then leaves them extra cash to put towards their debts (interestingly enough, the responses are quite often typed the same as my post above).
When this occurs, I do hope that you post similar to what you have submitted above for consistency
No? Well, maybe we should just agree that our opinions differ then..."Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

With respect, I've stated my opinion above and the matter is closed for me now"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

This is probably the best example I have seen of how NOT to deal with customer service. In my days I would not have cancelled the order but would have shoved it back to the bottom of the pile.

disgusting, absolutely disgusting - I did NOT ask you to cancel my order.
Is that how you do business? Is that some sort of punishment? Let it be known that I can order this item ANYWHERE else, Playusa, CDWOW or loaded247 - It is not me who has lost out, but YOU.
Be sure that I will expose your practice to EVERY major UK audiovisual consumer forum online.
It was not unreasonable to ask you why it had taken over 2 working days to process my order. Obviously I did not expect it to be shipped, but if you cannot process an order within 48 hours then there is really no hope for your company.
First the ridiclious xbox pricing and now this.. just what has happened to movietyme?!

Seems like this muppet is trying to get some sympathy from anywhere they can. They had a thread on cdanddvdbargains with more or less the same response except they accused 1 or 2 people of being in movietymes pockets. Total idiot.Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Hmm, the initial email from syfodyas didn't seem particularly strongly worded - seemed like a reasonable question regarding the whereabouts of his order and the response from Movietyme to the question should have been satisfactory, as it did completely answer his question (ie. the delay is due to the festive holiday).
I can offer some sympathy regarding your situation OP, here is a thread that I created at avforums.com regarding movietyme's order cancellation policy - which violates the Distance selling regulations.. http://www.dti.gov.uk/ccp/topics1/guide/distsell.htm

They're a bit of a strange lot at movietyme, so I do myself a favour and steer clear these days.0 -
Just noticed that all this is over a DVD of 'The Simpsons' .. you gotta see the irony in that .. Homer puts it best when he said 'Doh!!!' :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
