31st Jan is my favourite, but happy to go along with the majority here. I shall start investigating cheap accommodation for those that need it. Meantime, can I have preferences for different food types? As I mentioned before, the cheapest (possibly cheeriest) options will be Thai unlicensed places where we can supply our own booze (Kensal Green, Chiswick, New Cross, but there will be more), or the Indian students' hall of residence in Bloomsbury followed by a nice pub. We should avoid the west end if we don't want to be ripped off. As far as I'm concerned, the main point of this is to get together for a fun evening, so we should also beware of those places where the waiters get tetchy if you don't just eat and run! If Italian/French is what most people prefer, we should keep our eyes open for the 2 for 1 offers on various chains, though most of these exclude Saturday nights.0
