London forum members! 31st jan

I am going down to london in the new year to have a well deserved:D lunch/evening meal on lilybart. Now both of us were wondering if there are any other southeners who would care to join us(waspy has already shown an interest;) )and if so any dates or venue ideas would be most welcome.

You will have to pay for your own meal by the way as lily is only paying for mine:rotfl: :rotfl: Dx

Erm, not sure exactly. Somewhere near London Bridge/Tooley Street, I think. It used to be the debtors' prison, and was where Charles Dickens's dad was banged up. Only one wall survives now, but it might be nice to meet somewhere nearby and raise a glass to our forefathers.

EDIT crossed posts. will check Phil's link

Might be nice to have a lock-in????

    (I'll get me hat)

Actually, that's a pretty good area for eating/drinking. More characterful than the west end, and good transport connections.

Or, how is everyone with curry? There's a great (and super-cheap) place connected to the Indian students residence hall at UCL, and lots of nice pubs nearby.
