 :exclamati and all other sort of exclamations. I just last night applied for one of these and got an email this morning to say I've been accepted. Hmm s'pose I should have guessed. Their info says interest rates will be adjusted within 31 days of a BofE base rate change. Hmm don't think I'll bother putting anything in with the restrictions there are with the account. Might even tell them I don't want it and close it.
Edit:Just seen their website - they are obviously in the process of updating. eSaver Issue 2 is now advertised at 5% AER but when the "Find out more" link is clicked, umm, well you don't. Unless you use the quick links to the interest rates, then you see 5% AER, 4.89% Gross.0 -

It currently says "EARN 5.00% GROSS P.A./AER variable (4.89% gross monthly) if you don't make a withdrawal."0 -
Hmm, their interest rates page (where you can type in the first 3 digits of your account number to get the rate) has shown the new rates for a few days now.0

My eSaver 1 will be paying only 4.06% monhtly gross (incl. 0.83 bonus) from tomorrow.
If I don't want to lose interest I need to move the money tomorrow. Is it possible to switch directly into an eSaver 2 - which I have not opened yet ?
I don't have any other accounts with A&L and when I opened this one I had to go through a time consuming process including ID which took almost a month.0 -

My experince is that it is much quicker to open an account with them when you have one already. But I am not sure if that is because I have my current account with them too.Pay off as much as you can in 2012 challenge No. 64: 328.75/2,5000 -

Your best bet is to apply for the esaver 2 now (as an existing account holder you should get accepted without needing ID). As soon as you get confirmation the account is opened, phone A&L and ask them to close your issue 1 account. They will hopefully allow you to transfer the closing balance to the esaver2 (tends to depend on the adviser whether they allow this).
Several months back I applied for, well it was an eSaver (something) with A&L but nothing happened, no email or anything. I even printed out the DD agreement during the process. I phoned, but they had no record of me applying. I didn't bother again then.
I don't know how it is what they asked for would have authenticated me as me - not as though they ask for a driving licence or passport number.0 -

A little off topic, but A&L seem to be offering £20 quidco cashback for opening an e-saver account - has anyone had this paid?0
