In my household we have 4 itunes libraries on our pc (although only one account) which means that who ever wants to sync their ipod has to log off the current user and log on as themselves.
Is there a way of accessing different itunes libraries without logging on and off each user?
Thanks

I do it the same way as you.
I also have 4 different backup libraries on an external hard drive.0 -
That is the point of having different user IDs, so that each person can have their own settings, files, libraries etc.
Surely it does not take long to switch users and how often do you need to sync your Ipods, I only sync mine when I get a new cd.
Not much help I know, but I do not know of any other way.0 -
Have searched Apple forums and found answer - hold shift key when opening itunes. We all plug our ipods in all the time to charge them up.0

Surely you also have 4 sets of favourites in your internet browser, 4 different desktop backgrounds with different stuff on the desktop, and 4 different sets of programs that people use. Whoever uses the computer should log in as themself, then logout when finished. If you've gone to the bother of having 4 logins (and well done for doing so) then you should go ahead and use them!0

This is basically what I said earlier, but it seems the the OP has now found the answer on the Apple forums.0 -

Yes but we don't really need 4 computer logins, but we do need four itunes libraries due to widely varying music tastes within our house (I'm the only one who likes Girls Aloud!)0 -
Wait till they're older.
4 logins with 4 passwords!0 -

Thank you - however this article would seem to be more about sharing music rather than operating more than one library through the same windows login. Have tried the hold shift key and it works fairly well after the first use.0
