I'm pretty sure that I'm posting on the wrong place but I couldn't find a better match. Please forgive me as it's my first time.
I would like some advice about haggling with a used car salesperson. I know we're supposed to ignore the windscreen price but I have no idea as to how far I should push or what I should be aiming to achieve.
Do we have a forum for topics like that?
If not, can we have one?
Please.

You could try using the prices in Parker's as a starting point, but in my experience, I've been lucky to agree 10% off the screen price for anything half-decent, having started at 20% off.0

MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.:hello:0 -
A verrrrry good site for help & advice is http://www.honestjohn.co.uk
Plenty hints n tips there! If you've a number of models in mind, check the Car By Car Breakdown page, there, for good & bad points on all cars.
As mentioned price guides, are a starting point, as is http://www.whatcar.co.uk in their valuations pages.
Doing a search for the make & model in Autotrader will show just how varied peoples/dealers ideas of prices are.
Have you found something you like the look of? Let us know it's details & some of the motor trade Moneysavers will give their professional opinions!
