if it comes to that, you can post that he is looking for either a private rehoming or rescue place on a few websites (am currently going through similar with a pair of cats I took in)

I found these and a few cat only ones, just from good ol' google
Have people coming to view the cats tomorrow that saw my message on dogpagesI don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Gosh its awful, our dog is a rescue dog he was found on the streets. Wish i could take him. Dog trust in Leeds take in dogs and find homes for them. Do you know which kennel he has gone to. I can't bear the thought of him been put down. If it came to him been put down i would take him.Married 09/09/090

GOOD NEWS - just to let you know, someone on rescue helpers unite tells me they have got this dog a place with Yorkshire small breed rescue
They're going to pick him up when his 7 days are up (if he's not been reclaimed by owners of course!):T
Apparently because he is a small terrier, he will be rehomable much easier than a staffie terrier (sadly) so its not as hard to find a rescue place for him. Lucky little dog. If he were a different breed I fear it would not be such a happy ending.
I have been assured that he now has a safe place and that they will look after him well till he has a new permanent home. SallyUK I will Pm you the co-ordinators details as soon as I have them in case you want to contact her.0 -
https://www.anihome.co.uk lists rehomers/rescuers by county many with no kill policiesI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0

Glad to see he has got a home - I have just spoken to my friend (the police officer who will rehome and rehouse) and she would have taken him but as he is sorted, no problems.0
