Which is cheapest and best to run

I have storage heters on tarrif 7 in my house but have the turned off due to the cost of running them. Can someone please tell me which is best to run, Storage heaters on tarrif 7 or small approx 700 watt mobile oil heater for each room I need it in. Also is it less econimical to have it running all day in the main room/rooms required.

I am extreemly frustrated here as I have never had to deal with heating in my live as where I come from we never need it. I am just trying to find the most econimical and cheapest to run.

Lolly many people are having problems paying for the heating this year.... I am sure someone more technically minded than me will come along and advise you soon... I would imagine its going to cos a packet to have oil heaters on all day....
