Well it's not good enough!

I've been outside all day.... YES! In the real world. It's a crazy confusing place and I don't like it. There are no thanks buttons, you have to actually say it and you can't 'quote' people to remind you what they said..... you have to just remember

I come on here expecting a bit of chit chat, perhaps a recipe or to help someone get biro off leather and what do I get? :rolleyes: ... just a blank screen and a wait of 25 minutes to load a page!

I've had problems in addition to the site being slow. My password wasn't recognised so I asked for a new one but couldn't get it as they 'didn't recognise the email address', this despite the fact that I was getting notifications of 'reply to post' and I also got one saying that I had a pm!!!
I also got an email stating that it was more than 24 hours since I applied for a new password, even though it was within the hour!
At last this morning I got on, almost 12 hours after my initial request.
Strange!

Looks like my house will be getting cleaned again today, lol. Couldn't get on yesterday and today it's soooo slow that I wont be on here today either.

I'm sure the Team will pinpoint the problem soon. (I hope )

Apologies for the interruptions and failures. One of our serversd suffered a catastrophic failure last night and other servers are struggling with the load (Tip day and lots of new users). Our hosting company is trying desperately to right things and we hope to have full service restored soon.

OK, but when will the promised improvements to performance be noticeable to users as a result of moving to a supposedly better server host?

The performance has never been better and it regularly slows to a crawl before falling over!

Isn't it time that these performance issues were sorted out?
