Since the original owner bought it back last year, everything has changed, he's going back to simpler grocery products instead of the expansion of products that happened over the last couple of years. According to the memo in the office, it was an offer he couldn't refuse. M&S offered £30 million for 28 stores and they got to choose the location. We also understand that he is going to build new Icelands in the areas where he sold the existing stores!!!! Can't quite understand why M&S didn't have that written into the contract, but at the end of the day, they're not in competition with each other as they are totally different food stores. That's the lowdown on the info we got anyway. Hopefully he will build more stores, I enjoy shopping in Cleveleys, it's a great shopping area and the store there will be missed.
going home to Cleveleys tomorrow is store still open and are there any reductions.0 -
I understand the Cleveleys store is still open and will be having their closing down sale in the next couple of weeks, keep your eyes open though, could happen anytime, things change daily around here.0

Yep we are definitely still open for the next couple of weeks although it is looking likely that we will shut before the 25th of Feb. Bargains should be coming soon. I'm trying desperately to empty and defrost my freezer ready!Accepted offer on our house - Sept 2006
