Currys £10 is not good for christmas

Curry's are offering a £10 giftcard if you buy certain items, and their TV advert says you can give the card to someone else as a gift. But the date on the card shown on the TV expires on 24th december', so check the date on your card before you give it as a christmas gift.

It is a promotion to get people into store and buy certain items. I see no scam here.0 -

OH and I spotted this too - but if you listen very carefully to the adverts it says something along the lines of it to 'treat someone special... like you'.
It's still misleading though. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!

I didn't mean that it was a scam, I just wanted to warn people who didn't realise there was a pre-christmas expity date. In fact, they have a new advert this evening which clearly states the 5th-24th december validity date.0

There's nothing I can see in the terms and conditions to stop you buying a £10 gift card, and using the free gift card as payment. Hence you'd end up with a gift card that wouldn't expire. In theory.
As to them closing down? Doubtful. I suspect they may possibly end up closing some of their stores - not the PC World ones that have had the fancy new makeover, but some of the ones that haven't.0 -
Surely it`s only a matter of time before this overpriced retailer along with it`s sisters,pc world and dixons,go the same way as Woolies.0

There is some word on the street that PC World's days may be numbered.0

From the Ad's I got the impression the voucher could be given as a christmas gift as well.0
-
Well you could give it as a gift but they would have to spend it before or on the 24th of december, the date is mentioned in the ad so i dont see an issue with it0

Very devious, a lot of people will not have sussed this. Thanks OP.0
