The buyer joined Ebay in Sept 04 no ratings no other purchases.2 payments of £95 i posted the item today recorded delivery and entered the details in Paypal so they have a record of it too.Hopefully its just a buyer clicking the pay button twice

For the future it is worth noting that sellers are only protected if they can prove 'delivery' not posting.
It doesn't matter how many proofs of postage you have paypal will ask to see proof of delivery usually by some sort of online tracking like recorded or special delivery.

Thanks Soo. You're absolutely right. I had another Paypal payment today, with an ineligibile for seller protection status and unconfimred address, so I rang Paypal.
Their stance is - as long as the delivery is trackable, then they can contest any Clawback, regardless of "eligible" or "confimed" status of buyer.
Looks like my bidder is genuine afterall - she's even now bidding on another auction of mine (low value) and I haven't yet had a clawback.0 -
Finally got a reply from my buyer it was a mistake paying twice. However i have another item the same price on BIN so she wants that.I gave her the link to that auction and told her to use BIN to end the auction and just use other payment methods as she has no more to pay.Did she do it ..nope so do i cancel the auction and keep her money and send the other item or hang fire and see if she responds to another email.Theres only 11 hrs to go on this auction :-/0

This is a tough one! Can you not pull her details from the transaction before and call her?
Leave the auction running. it is easy for her to click buy it now, it is her fault if she doesn't do it in time like you suggested. If she does not win the auction I would still wait the 30 days until your money is safe then return the refunded amount to her (Less your paypal charge - well it is her mistake, her fault and she hasn't done anything to help you!) . Send her an email saying that if she hasn't bid on the item as she had stated she would by the time auction has ended then you will send her a cheque for the amount (set a date for 30 days after the money was paid). Explain why.
You can never be too careful, You don't know her intentions!
Does this make sense? It did in my head! ;D
Hopefully she will have bought it before you had a chance to read this and there will be no probs!! ;D
