Ebay - Proof Of Posting

I've started the process as they aren't playing ball.
My partners two have re-sent the items though, so that's a good start.0 -
I have had a similar issue- won an item from ebay, it did not arrive. Subsiquent to that I have arrived home to find other items (freebies) left on my doorstep. I am imagining the item I won from ebay was also left on the doorstep and thus likely stolen. (Had my bike stolen once, it was twice padlocked outside the railings on the front).
Basicly I don't think its the sellers fault I think it was stolen.
I asked the seller where the item was, she said it had been sent and had proof of posting- but not recorded. She said I could claim it back via royal mail. Sent the postage slip- eventually, and I have to claim.
I am not sure if I can- not sure if it works- never done it before, but I will try. If not, I will get the money via paypal so I am not overly concerned about getting a refund, as I can see that either way, I will be getting one. But I do think it should have been done the other way around.
TBH I am willing to do this, its not too much of a problem, but if it were- if I was ahving to take too much time out of my life, locate a post office a zillion miles away or if it happened alot (so made me look like I was lyeing about the delivery of said items) I may be thinming a tad differently.0 -

I sell some items on Ebay and a couple have gone missing over the past couple of years. You can still claim using a proof of posting form but you don't get back your posting fees. I nearly always send by recorded delivery as it is safer.
The claim is down to the seller, no questions asked, not the buyer as they have paid for the item!!
In both cases I sent a refund to the buyer, who is the innocent victim and think that this is the right thing to do.0 -
Watch out for inflated postal charges. Quite a few unscrupulous sellers make their money by overcharging for post and packing, when you return the item postage is not included in the refund. The seller then has the same item to sell again and the profit from the inflated postal charge.0

Sorry that is wrong. If you claim for non receipt then the full cost is refunded including post and packing, and there is of course no 'return' postage to factor in.

The Post Office said basically that it's down to the seller, as previously stated on this thread.
However...it's become apparent now that my partner is also missing two packages that were sent out the same day, looking back at our e-mails from sellers informing us, so this may not be a seller issue, but a post issue.
So did you pop intop the post office, or the delivery office?
It isn't unreasonable to ask a buyer to check with the delivery office to see if there are some packages waiting for them there - especially if you have other items missing too. Might save you a lot of grief.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

The OP though has not received their item so a full refund is given by paypal. Also if an item is returned due to damage or SNAD then the initial postage is also repaid. Delivery office.
I asked and they said there was nothing. The young chap said he shouldn't have really looked as I didn't have a red card anyway, but he couldn't find anything.
The item could fit through the letterbox anyway, so it's not an item i'd need a red card for as it wasn't sent recorded or anything.
To be honest, I don't trust my local delivery office. Things often turn up opened/battered/torn. I just can't accuse anyone with no proof and some of the people at my local office have told me in the past that it's my problem and their delivery folk wouldn't have done anything to any package.0 -
The seller has now decided to send a replacement.
How do I stop a chargeback?
If the original parcels turn up eventually, what is the best thing to do? Tell the seller and ask if they want the duplicate back?0
