potato flour is more like cornflour in it's uses than semolina is. Potato flour is a thickener - a bit less firm a set to things than cornflour.0

I love Jamie Oliver's pizza base recipe. I don't have semolina flour but I do have a huuuge bag of fine polenta. I use that instead and they are YUMMY!!!0

Can anyone get semolina flour anywhere?

I've looked in Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury's, in the speciality foods sections, the flour/baking sections and the puddings and cakes sections. I've asked if they sell it and all I got was blank looks.
Anyone had any success? Obviously you can easily order online, but then you're paying at least £4 delivery for a £1.70 bag of flour.0 -
is this not just (dried) semolina rather than semolina flour? I use semolina in my shortbread, Sainsbury sell it, online its with the rice and pasta... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I apologies if I'm repeating what others have said, but I thought that Semolina Flour was what is referred to as 00 flour predominantly used for Italian style pizza making. The semolina that you get for making puddings is too course and needs to be ground down further to get a finer powder. I tried making Gnocchi with "pudding" semolina and it was great, but the shortbread recipe I tried with it turned out far toooooo crunchy for my taste so thought I would invest in some of the 00 stuff
Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

It seems they sell Semolina Flour on Amazon. Might be a bit costly with the delivery charge though. Hope this helps!0

I must admit that I was looking for semolina flour a couple of weeks ago. I could only find coarse semolina, but tried it in shortbread and it was lovely! It's also nice on roast potatoes, it makes them nice and crisp on the outside!0
