Boots.com return policy

Hi
Just got a delivery from Boots.com and dont need a couple of things, one isn't worth it (and so don't like it) and then the other isnt as described (unsuitable).

Has anyone returned goods back? Is it easy or is there a lot of faffing about. Theres a returns slip in the box, and doont tink i have to pay for postage - but how do they go about returning the money onto the payment card?

my friend returned something from boots .com once. It was broke and she just took it into the local boots store with the delivery slip and they did it all there for her.

Have a look on the invoice and see if you can return to your local store?

One of if not the easiet places to return unwanted items. Never had a problem & its freepost. Just make sure your items are secure, you complete the paper work and get a proof of postage. They are really quick with the refund as well I have found;)

    if found this for you.

We do recommend that any products* bought from boots.com are returned using our free returns service to the address on the returns label found on your delivery paperwork. This is because certain products* are unique to boots.com and our shops will have no price or till details on these products*. However, if it is more convenient for you, please return your product*, in its original condition and its original packaging, to your local store and they will replace/refund it for you.

*Certain exclusions apply for products that can be returned. Please also read the other queries in this section to understand our returns policy, which items can be returned and methods of return.

I did just this today, will complain to them in full tomorrow, far to exhausted to do it when I came home!
Had 2 Xmas gifts that I'd bought for people that were not suitable. I'd thrown out the parcel/box they came in, but both were in their own original boxes.

Yesterday I rang Boots.com, it took about 2mins. They were very nice and said 'No problem, take it to a store convenient to you for a full refund'.
I asked if it was still ok if they don't usually sell or stock the items and was told that as long as I had the original reciepts, there would be no problem.............so silly me, that's what I expected!
Went today and the manager told me she could only give me an exchange to the value (£31.99). I said I wanted a full refund as I had the reciepts and was told that's what I could have.
She went off and rung .com, came back after 25mins and said I could have the money on a gift card.
I asked to use the 'phone and speak to them myself. They told me the same as yesterday, only this time I said 'I am in the shop now'.
They agreed to a full refund on my credit card. The manager wasn't happy and had to speak to them herself, trying to get them to put in on a gift card.
Eventually I got a refund on my credit card..................after 1hr 5mins in store!!!!!
By the time I got home I was to tired to ring them back to complain, but will tomorrow!

  • dont think its .coms fault as there is a hitler manager in my nearest boots....bought 9x babywipes from boots.com...only ordered them as it was more cost effective to get the free delivery on a £35 order.....when i opened the first pack and then the second they were bone dry so rang boots.com if it would be ok to get a refund instore (as i could get them cheaper elsewhere)..was told no problem bring your invoice along with you to the store...well when i got there the manager totally refused a refund and if i wanted one i must return it to boot.com...refused to ring them to confirm what they had said to me that day but she said on this occasion as a gesture i could have an exchange! its only that store as i have never had a problem with faulty returns in the other branches...

think they are tightening up due to people scamming the system..ie 3 for 2, bogof..obtaining advantage points then returning products etc...
  • I have returned lots with no problems, I normally boost my order to get free postage or points then send items backs with no problems todate.

    Good Luck!!

I had to return a food processor to boots.com (my mum had already bought herself one!). I rang up boots.com as the item was a little on the bulky side and I thought I might have to arrange collection by courier. I was told that the Post Office would accept the large item and all I had to do was stick the returns label on top (postage is paid for by boots).
My advice would be to hang onto the packaging that your delivery came in for as long as possible and ensure you fill out and get the Proof Of Postage certificate stamped at the Post Office.

I took a freeview box in to my local store to return it after buying it online. Returning because it turned out you cant get freeview in this area! Anyway, rang online and they said fine take it in and they'll refund you £24.99. I thought that was great as i only paid £19.99 online. Didnt tell the lady that on the phone! So i go to boots and they have never stocked the freeview but it still scanned in ok and came up as £34.99. So they refunded me £34.99 - in cash. I made £15! Boots errors....i love them! :j
  • i think that is dishonest..surely....wont it be returned to boots.com and the over refund would be noticed...i would be careful if i was you.....
