Hmmm, you have me thinking now! I have read on here before about people buying things on sale purposly then taking back with 'lost recipt' to try and make a profit. Not sure if it has ever backfired on people..... I did notice tha the sales assistant did the refund and put the freeview in a sack (assume for sending off) and didnt accompany any paperwork other than my returns slip - she didnt write anything on it.

is this return policy limited to any number of days?

i've a camera bought from boots, which i'm not very satisfied with the quality (bought 5 months ago :) ). A boots employee told me that i can return and get full refund for the whole one year on electronic items, though i'm not very convinced!

I just returned a mobile phone to them which is faulty and it was purchased 11 months ago. Phoned them before I sent it back and no problem full refund onto c/card so it's definitely worth a try. Their customer services seem to be very helpful. Would advise not to send email though you wait a long while for a reply.
  • anyone know how long i would have to take back a mobile phone bought in store about 3 weeks ago (unopened)?....unwanted present.

    cheers
  • i would return it asap...preferbly before 28days if its not faulty....if its obvious that it has not been used and the sim card is unclip from its card then i dont see why they shouldnt exchange or refund...ie it couldve been a duplicate xmas pressie....

I took a freeview box in to my local store to return it after buying it online. Returning because it turned out you cant get freeview in this area! Anyway, rang online and they said fine take it in and they'll refund you £24.99. I thought that was great as i only paid £19.99 online. Didnt tell the lady that on the phone! So i go to boots and they have never stocked the freeview but it still scanned in ok and came up as £34.99. So they refunded me £34.99 - in cash. I made £15! Boots errors....i love them! :j

Hmmm.......how do you sleep at night? That's totally dishonest.
