....They broke the law lending the money????? !!!!!! are you for real? YOU ASKED THEM FOR A FAKIN LINE OF CREDIT, THEY TRUSTED YOU WITH IT AND NOW YOU DONT WANT TO PAY IT BACK? Get a proper job and stop stiring up trouble on here with deluded scams that are, if successful, going to contribute to the poor state of the resecsion that we are currently in, selfish, greedy b@stard!
The only reason we are going to have a recession is because the banks exhibited a greed so large and so disgusting that they have bought themselves and the Country to the brink of collapse!
I have to admit that I have some sympathy with you in thinking that people are immoral in wanting to avoid their debts: whether it is legal or not (sorry folks) I do believe that it is wrong - and I think that one should approach ones creditors, explain the problem and arrange to pay the money off over a longer period so that you can afford the monthly repayments.
However, since you are gloatingly waiting (apparently full of self-pity and self-righteousness) to be able to afford a house which has perhaps been re-possessed from some family who may have had the misfortune to have been hit by redundancy or ill-health: you are hardly in a position to take the "moral" high ground are you?
"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone", seems so ethically and morally appropriate here you know!:D
ETA: have just noticed your siggy! Shame you cannot manage to live by it, eh;)"there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -
Yes it does, I could not be chewed with typing a response to the above therfore I choose to "shorten" the response with abuse, it suits me fine and I am still waiting for a ban from the site.....not yet my dear friends, not yet. BRING IT ONE!
I've no interest in whether or not you get banned. However, I don't want the thread to get locked or deleted simply because you feel the need to make abusive posts. The fact that you appear to be taunting the mods suggests to me that you would be more than happy for this discussion to be stifled simply because you choose not to be civil.
That said, it is highly amusing to watch you spitting your dummy out over this. The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.0 -

1: Where in my posts have I stated that they have broken the law lending out money?
I think you will find that I have stated that the lending institutions have, in some cases, not adhered to the credit consumer act 1974 s174 (3,4,5) by omitting information that they are required to provide BY LAW.
No doubt this is true - however the impression given by the majority of these websites that have sprung up overnight is that this applies to the MAJORITY of agreements written before 2007. This is utter bollox and simply a line being spun to try and reel in desperate people and part them with their cash by building their hopes up of a way out of their debts.
I strongly believe that they are jumping on a bandwagon with little or no chance of success and are hell bent on taking people for a ride with their hard earned money.
Question: These companies have obviously only just set up, yet appear able to report impressive success rates. How can that be? Why in post #7 was the 'nice lady' unable or unwilling to give details of past successes?
Are we really expected to believe that these companies employ teams of financial experts or 'lawyers' as I have seen advertised? This again is misleading. I strongly suspect that those behind this con who claim to be 'experts' are little more than failed solicitors who should have paid more attention at law school so they could have got a real job dealing with proper cases.
Can we please distinguish between the immorality of trying to cancel one's debts, which is what is causing most of the arguments on this thread, and the greater immorality of these companies attempting to get already hard up people to part with their cash by making false impressions about what they can do and the extent to which their credit agreements are faulty. That is criminal.0 -
the "wipe your debts out" sharks are getting everywhere...even our local community centre has something pinned on the noticeboard.....talk about a feeding frenzy....then sharks are smelling blood and following the compensation culture down the ethical wastepipe....For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070

The irony seems to be lost on you. Perhaps you should use a different sig when posting in petulant toddler mode? The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.0 -

I thought this may be a scam as the spelling on the email is a bit dodgy but I then looked
in the local advertiser and there is an advert from a "debt disposal team" advising that they
can do the same, but for £295. This advert looks ok, but i'm still very wary, has anyone had
any similar emails, has any one tried this?????
have you got his web site or adress,i'd like to try this,thanks0 -
PROLIANT, you're not by any chance working for one of the banks?

Or you could try facing up to your debts and paying them off, like the rest of us. Or you could of tried not borrowing so much in the first place. I'm with PROLIANT on this, you borrow the money but don't want to pay it back?
Then where do you think the money comes from when you borrow and don't pay it back?
It comes from the rest of us, who have to pay more to cover your money.
Take responsibility for your actions, don't borrow what you can't afford, and pay back what you owe.
And no I don't work for a bank, but I do work hard and pay what I owe.0
