Cheap Texting to Ireland
I have a contract with an iPhone on the £45 p/m plan with unlimited texts.
I've recently found I've been sending around 50 texts (I know...it's disgraceful but has to be done) to an Irish mobile per day and at 12p per text it's getting quite expensive.
Does anyone have any ideas or know of anything o2 can do to cut the cost.
I do have an unlocked SE K800i I could put a sim in if anyone knew of any other way to have cheap texts to Ireland
Thanks,
Gem

Send the person you are texting a PAYG sim card (which are always available free online), get them to put that in a phone and text away, that wont cost you anything, and they can reply with thier normal phone. Its not ideal but i text a freind in the USA that way and it costs me nothing and them nothing (as they have free international texts on the AT&T contract)
Also the PAYG sim card doesnt have to have credit, just be active, which it will be cause you are texting it.:beer:0 -
Thats a good idea thanks! I don't mind paying at all for the messages, just want something simple or where I can buy a bundle of messages or something0

I don't know about you but i'm with o2 and it was costing me 20p a txt to greece on payg so i brought a international bolt on for 4.99 which cut the cost to 10p a msg and gave me something off my calls too.You can email o2 free and they will reply within 48 hours instead of paying 25p to call them.I'd still like to be paying less for my txts though :-) <sighs>0
