Ok folks - have completed my list except for the last one ... which involves mulled wine, dinner and a roaring fire....
So I am off. Enjoy yourselves - whether out or at home, partying or having a quiet evening. Look forward to talking to you all in 2009!!
Even though so much seems to be going so wrong in the world right now, I am genuinely hopeful it will be a good year for us.
Happy New Year! :beer:0 -

Hi all
Well had a lovely news years eve then spent all of yesterday in bed with a migraine - and no not overindulgence (had a glass and a half of wine!) but realised afterwards that it was european wine which does that too me. But seriously do not want to feel that awful again so resolution number one - no more red wine of any kind at all! Is a wrench but I can't risk that happening regularly!
Hope you've all had a more exciting start to the year! Will get back to debt busting soon but am still feeling fragile so think will get off computer for a bit.0 -
Sorry you're not feeling well, but happy new year anyway xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Hope you are feeling better today Miz.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Thanks all. Feeling a bt better now - have managed to eat something and been up and about. You're right Dragon - at least I know what to avoid - shame it is my favourite "flavour" of wine!
But hey - will be cheaper to drink water - even the fizzy stuff - so there is a plus side.
So onwards and upwards - what of 2009? Well - I have a few resolutions though I am determined to achieve all three:- Get debt free once and for all - aiming for a debt free Christmas this year
- Develop a healthier lifestyle - more fresh food, more home cooked, more exercise, less junk - not going to make any predictions about weight loss etc - just that I am determined to be fitter and healthier when I have my work health check in September than I was last year
- Sort out the house - cupboard by cupboard. Am going to aim for two cupboards a week (including shelves, garage, attic....) - should get them all done by 2010!
