Mizmir's "Determined to be debt free by Christmas 2009" diary

Yikes - just checked internet banking and things are not looking pretty. On the plus side a payment against a card - on the down side once the mortgage goes out we'll be up to point on the O/D that I try to stick to for the whole month (and that is counted in my debt total) - so from then on debt going up.
So am going to have to make sure we spend very little more this month - and make some extra. Have been bad at that of late so will plan to get better - matched betting needs to be revisited I think and I need to reacquaint myself with ebay and amazon. More plusses: I have just shopped which should last 10 days or so, have cash for bus fares for going back to work, the car has fuel and I have a dog training session on Sunday which should make £50!
Maybe I need to find a challenge - spend nothing in January!!0 -
Glad you are feeling better today.Love your aims for the year.Sorry your account doesn't look too good but I guess many others look that way as well.0

Oo, miz - scary for debt to be up to the overdraft at this time of the month. Matched betting ahoy - I'm getting back into it, and Bob is starting off - and tomorrow there's all sorts of stuff on, with new bookies and reload offers - go for it!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Yep - must get back into it. Will set aside some time tomorrow afternoon to remind myself of where I left off! Am sure I have a couple of hundred in Betfair which should get me started again!Oo, miz - scary for debt to be up to the overdraft at this time of the month. Right I need a plan for this month. I have signed up to the £10 a day challenge. Will only be paying min payments I should think this month but I want to try to keep the O/D down so will need the full £310 and hopefully more. So am aiming at:
Dog training: £150
Matched betting: £100
Amazon/ebay: £50
Reviews: £10
Will get started tomorrow on the matched betting and listings on amazon.0 -
Signing off for today - OH is going away for 10 days tomorrow and I need to help her get stuff together. But a bit of advance planning for tomorrow:
- Meet friend for walk with dogs
- Review my matched betting situation and set up at least 2 matched bets
- Read the scratch card thread
- Do 2 more dooyoo reviews and explore the site a bit more
- Update dog training website and work out plan for weekend training sessions
- Update fitness journal
- Take down Christmas decorations
- Clear out one cupboard
- List 5 books on amazon

Well friend cancelled dog walk so we'll be going n our own a little later. Have won 10p on the scratchcard - need to read the thread to see which can be done together. Not quite understanding - I also have a bonus £11 in the account - is that for use on bingo? Am guessing can't be withdrawn. Tried to use a bit on scratchcards but it took the money from my real money  - so I can't withdraw that until back up to £10 - maximum 9 days to go!
Then think will do dooyoo! Hope everyone is enjoying the start to their weekend.0 -
Forgo the bonus on the scratchcard site - the WR is ridiculous as well on it, so just withdraw your £10 that you deposited and forget the bonus completely....
Just catching up with your thread over the last couple of days - sorry to read that finances are so tight......join the club! I am trying to live on beans on toast I think this month.......
Definitely an opportunity to re-visit the MSE basics I think!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
