    Hi all,

I am looking at selling/part exchanging my car soon. I know the market is a tad weak at the moment, but I am looking for somewhere to get a value on my existing car.

I get car allowance for work, and dont want to clock up too many more miles on this car. Originally I was going to wait until March/April time.

Anyway, car is a 56 plate(Dec 06) Ford Focus Zetec Climate 5-door hatchback 37k on the clock

any suggestions on where to go(please keep it clean...lol)ie websites etc

    thanks in advance

I'd run it for the 5 years or 120k miles, then change it.

  • I am looking to buy a 3 year old Swift or Ibiza. Yes, I want to pay as little as possible for the right car but people selling these cars seem to think advertising (autotrader) at prices you would expect from a dealer will get their car sold. Not to me it won't.

    Petrol? Diesel?

I've been selling 55 plate 1.6td Ghia's with mileage circa 50k for just over 5000.

So you's is newer and lower mileage, so it's worth more. BUTTTTTTTTT it's a lower spec. And it's spec that sells cars at the end of the day, so assuming your's is a td then it should sell for early 5's too...

As for the finance comment above - it's only the sub prime people who cant get finance at the minute. The "main stream" people are still getting finance. Don't think I've had a sub prime person thru the doors in 4 months!
