Which is which then cos they both look the same to me? (ie. both are wireless G) More like BMW vs Audi

Personally I've always been a fan of Linksys but its a personal thing. never used DLink so can't comment.

as it happens i contacted them the other week about it and was told:
I have contacted the relevant department and found that currently our stock for "Netgear DG834G 54Mbps Wireless ADSL Modem Firewall Router with 4-port 10/100 switch" is the "white model" which is the "version 2 model".

If you have opend it they will not accept it as a return. BUT, if you buy this one and return that to PC world, then thats the way to do it!

Yeah Thats what I would do too.

Nice one.

• I have had this Netgear router for 15 months now and it is very reliable and simple to set up and maintain (firmware updates etc) - £62 is a bargain price -might get myself a spare !

This is a fantastic deal - the USB adapter alone is worth £20, so a great starter package for anyone wanting to set up a wireless network, or even if you just want a hardware firewall.

THIS seemed like a good deal for those that missed the recent linksys one at PC WORLD.

Free USB wireless adapter (was £26) Included for £62.97 inc Delivery.

Price not quite as good perhaps but must be a good second best if you are also in need of the 'Freebie' - and it's Netgear.

the linksys one is still available for collect@store £39.99

• I have just purchased the 3Com office connect bundle. Do not be put off by the name, this is made for home as well as small businesses. It's a steal at £69.99 rrp £139.99. This is an intro offer on this product, you will need to go into the store to buy, not available on line.

In the package you get:

The wireless firewall router
PC card
and USB card.

yes, all three items.

Hope this helps.
Regards
• You can still get the LINKSYS WGKPC354G 54G MODEM ROUTER AND LAPTOP CARD KIT for £39.99 from Dixons and Currys, out of stock today, but I picked up one yesterday OK so worth watching for new stock.
