PP (((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))) RCB's right, it wasn't your fault, it happens to everyone no matter how careful you are. I've had it happen 3 times with the same child
You'd think I'd have learned my lesson with him and all three were horrendous. Probably every one of us knows the feeling your talking about
Not pleasant. But he's safe now and I bet getting spoiled silly
Try to calm down though hun, have a coffee and chill out for a while, look after yourself.

Morning all!! Thanks to whoever sent the light sprinkling of snow here this morning - it looks so lovely!
Well what a fab week so far - Tom started off with a chest infection, and has now added another string to his bow, in the form of vomiting!!
All over OH's side of the bed this morning & he's been being sick since 7 this morning. Happy Days!
I think my chances of going to the posh 'do' on Friday may be scuppered.
Hope everyone else & their offspring are feeling good today. xxThe Rock Chick, she say 'courtesy costs nowt' - spread the word!0 -

I swear i never want to feel like i just did, thought he was somewhere in the house, shouting for him, looking outside, nowhere to be seen, a neighbour had seen him going down the road in tears and he was standing next to 2 ladies who were watching him.
really is a rubbish day, thought last night was bad, that was nothing, i am so glad he is home.
I am so angry at dh but more at myself, as he didnt hear him going out the door, cant stop crying now, sorry for this post, i just feel so awful

PP you're most definitely not alone! it happened twice to me, the second time sounds funny now but it wasn't at the time. The first time was almost identical to what's just happened to you, We were in the back garden at our old house and the side gate had been left open and my DS who was just coming up to 3 wandered out in a split second, we lived on a main road then to which it turned out he had crossed  There was this horror film style toy truck in the front garden, upside sown with one wheel spinning and no sign of my baby. His sisters school was just round the corner and he knew the way to her so thats the first place I went while DH got in the car and went looking, we found him in the next street, after having crossed 2 roads and he too was with an elderly couple who said afterwards what a lovly chatty little chap he was lol.
The second time, when they were about 5 and 3 I would guess my DD got up early when we were still in bed asleep! and managed to unlock the front door (bolts were installed that day!!) and take her baby brother for a walk, she told me afterwards that she was taking him to Wollies to look at the toys lol. The thing is she knew he needed shoes on so she got him into her pink wellies but forgot to dress him, so they were walking along hand in hand, her in her nightie and him in pink wellies, a pyjama top and................. nothing else!!! he was naked from the waist down!! fortunately it was summer and a saviour of a gentleman was on his way to work on his bike and found them only a few houses away and managed to persaude DD not to go to Woolies but to go home and wake Mummy and Daddy up and ask them to take them. The lovely man came back in the evening after work to make sure they were ok, we showed him the new bolts on the door lol
So PP, dry your tears, calm yourself down and don't beat yourself up, be glad he is safe and know that it happens to us all, always has always will hun xxxxxThat ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free0 -

aww thanks all xxx
feeling more calmer now, ive had this with my other ones too, all at that age, they used to get out the door quite a few times and lost ds2 in a shopping center, its just when it happens it scares the life out of you, plus the fact he is unwell at the mo, just hope it doesnt affect him any more from being out in the snow with no hat, jacket on etc
need a win to cheer me up:rolleyes:0 -

what does it say? Does it say you've won an entry into the draw or does it give you a voucher number beside the prize?0
