You do have to complete the test twice if you are applying for two areas, unfortunately

That is certainly not the case if you pass the test with the first application, I have applied in 3 districts and the results from the first test are applied to all 3 applications. Maybe it is true if you fail first time and haven't retaken it with the initial district's application.
  • That depends. If you apply for one area and sit the test then apply for another you don't have to repeat it. However if you submit both (or more) applications at the same time, it seems you have to do the teast twice.

Yes, this is the case for me. However, for the second district I have applied to, I have not yet been invited to complete the test even though my application is identical to the first district and with the first district, I was invited to complete the test immediately. Very odd.
  • I hope someone can shed some light on the competencies.

The first section is Building Capability - Behavioural.

However, under this section on the pdf comes:

    Developing skills & knowledge
    Working Collaboratively
    Communicating with Impact

Do you have to include all the sub categories in 200 words total?

    Thanks,

    Thanks,

Competencies are usually graded on a scale of 0-9, each competency usually has 3 sub categories and in theory they should be weighted equally.

    For example

Introduce situation, show how you have Communicated with Impact to Develop skills & knowledge in/for Working Collaboratively

That is a bug in their system then!! The help line is worse than use less as - it either rings out or disconnects. I guess a lot of people are calling re this issue. If I don't get any joy from them by the end of business today I'll sit the test again. I'm pretty sure I didn't fail it last time re the feedback I got.

If you failed you'd have been told immediately. If you got a score then that means you passed and whether you egt an interview or not depends on how other people score.

The test is valid for 6 months for any CS job at the same level (in theory), it would sound as if WCN are having some issues. Be gentle people, this new online application system is new but very much needed; prior to it there was about 12 different paper versions and about 6 different online versions...madness
  • I have scored 53percent better than anyone taking the test above average do you recon this is enough to get through to interview?
