  • Read the terms and conditions' indeed! some of us have better things to do with our time, we don't expect to be tricked by what appears to be a reputable company! ...!!!!!!

Better things to do with your time than actually reading up on the terms and conditions that you are agreeing to?

Have you actually considered taking responsibility for your own actions and inactions?

Shaun don't feed the toll. Clearly this person is a waste of space considering the abuse, swearing and the rude username. Report and move on.

Also Next is not the only company that works on a credit account model. Littlewoods and Very does the same!!
  • Hi all, I have been reading your posts regarding Next and have experienced what all of you have, but with another twist on it! I ordered some goods in March online, which arrived without payment being asked at the point of order, I realised what had happened, phoned them up, made payment over the phone and requested that the account be closed immediately as I did not want one. This was done, I took the persons name, the date, the time and kept ALL the paperwork. This was in March of this year. Then, suddenly out of the blue I receive an autumn catalogue of which I had not requested (and actually asked not be sent back in March) and an invoice stating I owed them £3.75. It also stated I had another credit account of which I had not opened and had not signed an agreement for. I also had not shopped with next since the last fiasco. So, I contacted them very upset and stated that the credit account was closed back in March and she agreed this was the case, she could see the notes and apologised. I also asked her why this had happened, she stated that sometimes if I visit the website to browse, it can re-activate the account!!!!!!!!!!! I also made a point of stating to her that I had never returned a signed agreement, in fact I still have it here from March! She confirmed that if I had not returned the signed agreement, an account should not have been opened. More so, the agreement they sent me in March stated I had a credit limit of £250, the invoice I received today states I have £1500!!!!! I am considering taking legal action as there is definitely foul play going on, all this coincidently occurring just before Christmas? Mmmm, very suspect if you ask me. Does anyone have any advice to give on this??? Any help is greatly received.

You cannot take legal action just because you don't like what has happened... well, you can but you will not win.

    What losses have you suffered?

The FCA or FOS may be able to help you.
