Went out with a bang rather than a whimper. After saturday's disappointment at zero under £5 TD and zero EA in Gravesend, yesterday I found LOADS of candles in Chatham (bought 3 - all free)and some of the eau de toilette to match (bought 3 - £1 each). A grapefruit and lime body lotion (99p so free :) ) and a set of 3 little flower therapy orange flower and calendula stuff for £1.49 reduced from £5.99.

I felt like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally - YES! YES! YES! :j

Send Boots an email and complain.

If they had a mystery shopper in and they treated them like that, then Boots head office would be up in arms!!

The said assistant obviously needs re-training!

thanks for advice- was thinking that maybe i should email- i just needed some sound encouragement-don't think i'm as brave as some MSE'ers but i don't think Boots should tolerate their (very loyal) customers been treated this way so i'm off to politely complain-a lot!
I might be broke but happy but I'd happily not be broke!

  • I don't know if anyone is still paying any attention to this thread but I have to share my mother's huge success with the Boots Time Delay vouchers....

I live in London and had no luck at ALL - lots of vouchers but couldn't find the products under a fiver anywhere, and gave up.

But my mother and sister - I feel so proud!!! - in Ireland (they live near the border) got vouchers in sterling and euros and between them they bagged an absolutely fantastic amount of stuff during the month in Boots stores near them... they reckon they got a grand total of approx. £620-worth of goodies! A lot of these were thanks to half priced gift sets they found that had originally been over £5 but were massively reduced and then - with the voucher - free. Occasionally they bought things that were slightly over a fiver and so had to pay a few pence but most things were completely free.

Anyway, everyone we know is getting Time Delay stuff for birthdays this year!

My sister (27) says shes reducing in age every day as a result of all this and was 12 last time she checked.

Oh and on the last day they finally managed to find some free stuff with the Aromatherapy vouchers (from the "De-Stress" leaflet) too. They're gutted its all over they've had a brilliant time!

nothing under £5 at birstall last week but i gave a voucher to a lady who had picked up the micro dermabrasion kit & she was so grateful her hubby gave me a pound to "get some sweets for the kids"! i refused but he insisted as i had still saved them £4. everyone's a winner! (except the kids - 9 week old so can't have sweets & 3 year old goes mega hyper if anywhere near sugar so sweets off the menu for him too! will take him charity shopping instead!)

That's funny Charity shopping is just what my 3 year old loves -pound in his hand he goes round the five charity shops in our small main street -he loves it!
