I got some great bargains today in Boots in Wakefield.

I have loads of the eye brighteners and also the cleansing mask thing, neither of which I will use but what I really wanted was some of the TD moisturiser which is normally £11.00.
I took 3 of each of the above and swapped them for 3 of the day and night moisturisers, played a bit dumb and said hubby had bought them for me by mistake and she exchanged them without a problem :D

I also found 4 of the EA bathing powders and a sand scrub kiln type jar and was very lucky to find a discarded de-stress voucher in among the Ea stuff. She put them through but three of them scanned at £1.99 so total was £3.96 to pay. She was a lovely young girl and when I explained that the others were a £1 and these should be also, she took my word for it and put them all through for free!!!

Mega day today, I was grinning like a cheshire cat :rotfl:

HELLO fellow Wakefield-er! Well done you.. Didnt they query it at all as the TD has been on 3 for 2 for ages.. you had no receipt I'm guessing? Others on here have been accused (according to previous threads) of getting things for free and taking them back for refunds or vouchers so I thought you might have had a bit of a fight on your hands. On another thread, I was hoping to get the "free" gym ball or similar but when I went in they only had the get fit voucher and no lose weight ones. I asked a SA and was told very haughtily "we have none of THOSE" like I was asking for some gold bars or something.. last day tomorrow, can't decide whether to bother using more petrol to see if anything worth having so if you are in can you let me know?! Thanks for that

Time Delay is 3 for 2 and not bogof. That's just the DR stuff.

    I've been Money Tipped!
well got a nice bargain today with my £5 Time delay coupon a 2 step Micro dermabrasion kit (home face peel kit) as recommended in Zest last month. It should have been £9.99 so a good bargain even if the security guard hovered while I checked the shelves I gave him a big smile and stood waiting smiling till he left!!
Intend to have a home spa day with all this expensive stuff I cannot usually afford!! Good old Boots I say!

The kit includes a 75ml micro dermabrasion facial exfoliator and a 50ml facial moisturiser ina silver box.

    Hi all

I am a newbie and have only just found this offer so I went to my local Boots store today to see if I could get any TD products, however, although there was a lot of leaflets including the £5 off TD products voucher there was no items under £8 where all the TD products were. I was a little miffed so decided to have a browse around the store as my 8 week old baby was fast asleep in his pram. I needed some hand cream as I am forever washing my hands at the moment and they are really dry and was delighted to find the TD moisturising hand and nail cream in a different isle with all the other hand creams - priced at £5.00 so with the voucher it was free. I was really chuffed and after buying it (along with some nappies, wipes and formulae milk decided to try and get another for myself as I knew one wouldn't last long and another for my mum as she was unaware of the promotion.

I took my other items back to the car and on the way out picked up two more leaflets and tore out the other vouchers and went back to the shop. I decided to have another look around as I didn't want to just get the cream (I felt tht I needed to buy something else aswell) but was amazed to notice the staff watching me! everywhere I went two of the staff were wandering around and the security guard was at the till! I felt like a criminal. Anyway I wasn't going to let them get the better of me so I got one at the pharmacy as I bought some calpol and then another at the front tills with a meal deal (the old bag that served me didn't look at me or speak to me).

I wouldn't mind if I had fleeced them but this was the first time I had done it and after all the money I spent in Boots over xmas including a Tassimo machine, a Nintendo DS and xmas pressies I am a bit annoyed, plus you can't tell me that they haven't used the vouchers to get some items for themselves.

I really felt uneasy about doing this even though I knew I was doing nothing wrong and now am a little glad there was not lots of product as I would of had trouble getting them. Also a bit gutted that they did not stock the exercise ball as they had vouchers - even though the old bags at the till would probably not have let me use both vouchers!

I then noticed an EA massaging oil in the discounted range and tried to use the £1.00 off but the old bag wouldn't accept it - so I gave up and went home.

Doubt I will try it tomorrow as even though it is the last day, I expect they won't have stocked the shelves and it was a bit too stressful for my liking.

Oh and to top it off the card machine wasn't working so I couldn't even see if there was any vouchers or anything I could buy to get extra points.

To all those who got loads of freebies out of Boots - WELL DONE!!!!

once again teh curse of the SA's who think that the £5 vouchers are coming out of their own pay packets! dont take it personally thyre just bitter that employess arent allowed to use the vouchers themselves!

anyway, there was nowt in the AC machine so you shouldnt worry about that :)
