pash wrote:HELLO fellow Wakefield-er! Well done you.. Didnt they query it at all as the TD has been on 3 for 2 for ages.. you had no receipt I'm guessing? Others on here have been accused (according to previous threads) of getting things for free and taking them back for refunds or vouchers so I thought you might have had a bit of a fight on your hands. On another thread, I was hoping to get the "free" gym ball or similar but when I went in they only had the get fit voucher and no lose weight ones. I asked a SA and was told very haughtily "we have none of THOSE" like I was asking for some gold bars or something.. last day tomorrow, can't decide whether to bother using more petrol to see if anything worth having so if you are in can you let me know?! Thanks for that

Hi Pash!
I didn't have a receipt lol, as if!
I didn't do it deliberately to get a refund as I just wanted to exchange some of the Td I won't use for some that I will. In saying that though, because I did three transactions in one go, it went through at 3 for 2 and she did give me a refund of £13, I know I should have been jumping for joy but it felt wrong as the most I had paid would have been £1.50 for the three eye brighteners I took back (£5.50 but 50p with voucher).
Still chuffed that I now have some lovely moisturisers which will last me a good while.
I am going back to Wakefield tomorrow as I have sourced some keep fit and lose weight leaflets etc so am hoping to get either the ab toner or the gym ball, I am bringing hubby along so he can carry everything
Also hope to get a few more EA bits and pieces as they had plenty last time I went in, hope to see you there if you are going, I'll be the crazy woman hovering round the EA aisle so keep a look out! :rotfl:Stopped smoking Jan 2007 after 23 years!Cigarettes NOT smoked = 240,945Smoke free days = 11 Years :TCash saved so far = £125,45,110 -

I have only found the get fit leaflet and I am desperate for a lose weight one to try for the gym ball (already bought an ab toner from elsewhere) so if I do see you I hope you have a spare leaflet!! Will pop over after work for the last scan of the shelves see if I can find anything so leave me some as I won't be in till late afternoon, better still grab me a gym ball (you can send hubby for it!! lol) Take care and nice to "meet" you!

nothing under £5 at birstall last week but i gave a voucher to a lady who had picked up the micro dermabrasion kit & she was so grateful her hubby gave me a pound to "get some sweets for the kids"! i refused but he insisted as i had still saved them £4. everyone's a winner! (except the kids - 9 week old so can't have sweets & 3 year old goes mega hyper if anywhere near sugar so sweets off the menu for him too! will take him charity shopping instead!)Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!0

I am bewildered by the attitude of boots staff-
went to boots in belfast yesterday but only managed to use 1 voucher on DR stuff. still, only spent £3 for £16 worth of stuff- also used my parenting club soltan voucher to get suncream worth £9 something.
However- cashier made me feel like some sort of criminal! asked me what the vouchers were for repeatedly- told me i was holding up the queue and tutted and sighed as she scanned my items!
Really- what is the problem?? if Boots willingly offer vouchers their staff shouldn't act so put-upon when people try to use them. I bought loads of stuff as well that wasn't on offer - Boots cost me more money yesterday than i cost cost them!!?? think they would be grateful- i wouldn't even have gone to Boots yesterday if i didn't have damn vouchers!I might be broke but happy but I'd happily not be broke!0 -
Well, I've just been to the Bangor store, and had to look around other areas of Boots as the security guard was in the way of the Time Delay stuff. Don't know why, as there was nothing below £5 there. Oh well, £80 saved is better than nothing! If you find my post helpful please press the THANKS button.0

If they had a mystery shopper in and they treated them like that, then Boots head office would be up in arms!!

I've found that in the main the SAs have been OK down here although I have only got one thing at a time. Today however, I got a line cream for 50p with the voucher and the man behind the till (it's usually women) who was the assistant manager or something almost threw it at me and didn't respond when I thanked him politely. It's almost as if we are robbing them or something!0
