Call Divert for Orange
My Orange handset has broke down and hence I am not able to use my Orange SIM(Contract). I have another handset which is locked to Virgin and hence can use only Virgin SIM(Payasugo).
I am planning to unlock my Virgin handset and use with orange Sim.
Meantime, can I transfer calls coming to my Orange SIM to Virgin SIM. Since I don't have working orange handset, I don't know if I can set a call divert.

Without putting your Orange SIM into either another Orange phone or an unlocked one, I don't see how you could set up a Call Divert. Customer services may be able to do it for you but may not be very helpful. If you have access to another handset, the this webpage explains GSM codes to set up diverts.

That was the beauty of Everyphone where you could setup a PIN for it and use any phone to set your divert. Unfortunately that bit the dust a couple of years ago.

Be aware that if u managed to use the divert then it will cost u about 30p a min for the service.0

Phone Orange customer services and they will divert your calls to any number you want them to. You will have to pay for the diverted portion of the call. If you have free bundled minutes to landlines and other networks then the diverted minutes would be taken out of the bundled minutes, just as if you had initiated the calls.0

Have you credited at least £30 to your Virgin Mobile SIM since you registered it? If so, you can get VM to unlock the handset for nothing.raj75 wrote:I am planning to unlock my Virgin handset and use with orange Sim.

i. At no additional charge, we will provide the code to 'unlock' your mobile phone, as long as you do not owe anything for that phone, you have spent at least £30 on airtime with us on that phone and you have complied with terms of this agreement. You will need to register that phone with us for security reasons.

My virgin handset is Siemens A60 and I think (I haven't kept a account of my top-up's) I have topped with £30. I have mailed for a unlock code from Virgin Support Team. They are taking awfully long time for sending a unlock code.
However, I have today got a spare handset from my friend and so use orange sim with that until I Virgin sends a unlock code.0
