Looking at the actual sold prices in that road: http://www.houseprices.co.uk/e.php?q=Finborough+Road%2C+sw10&n=50 I can see that in the last 12 months, flats have been selling for anything between £326K and £660K. So the initial asking price could not have been that far off?

You seem to believe that the questions are easy, and you provide an answer. However, the answers you provide are neither accurate or correct.

sorry the origonal asking price must be bang on the money that is why it is sold.

Oh hang on it isn't sold and they have had to drop the price.

Please remember a Troll from HPC is for life not just for christmas.;)

So is that how it works in this forum? Anybody that posts material relevant to supporting the fact that prices are falling, is declared a Troll from HPC....

I guess you'd be a Troll from HousePriceBoom, or worse Foxtons!!!

It seems on this thread and others, people are backing up price falls with some sort of evidence, links, etc... Some from journalists, some using statistics.

However, those trying to support prices are providing no evidence at all. Perhaps they would like to purchase a property at last years prices, or worse still already bought last year!!! ;)

it's been a while Blisk - welcome back

Nah, it's just a small group of 'anti-bears' - they can't really put together much of a bullish argument so they just chuck abuse at anyone posting something bearish.

Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.

The funny thing is even the "bearish" people on here can't be bothered to support or thank you.:D

You go on about backing up with facts but you have not provided one yet.

At present, all we can do is take a guess/estimate on where we both feel prices will be in 6-12 months time.

We will only be able to tell at the end of next year whether my original estimate of further and accelerating falls was correct, or your more bullish view.

Just what i have been waiting for -

In the last two weeks, sellers have finally faced up to the "new reality" of the depressed London market after months of denial, figures reveal today.

Everyone saw it coming....except 90% of sellers who were to busy fighting for sand space to stick their heads in and hope it would all blow over. Just the news needed.

I hardly think expected 30% falls make me bullish on housing. I just find 20% in 6 months madness. sorry.
  • If they've put it on the billboards it can't be missed. Everybody in London will see that, as opposed to just those that buy the paper.

I saw it on 5 newsagents' boards as I walked back from court. It's everywhere.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.
