Help with Wireless

I know there isn't - I'm merely posting the offical links for the OP to peruse and choose what they want to do! If they read all the links they'll have enough info to configure it manually, or, if they prefer, using the software. I know what I'd rather do. Not get AOL

Well as the OP has already connected to other wireless networks, it's pointless. Once configured correctly - job done!

Use the ip address they gave you to connect directly to the router using eternet, there should be a user name and password to then access the config menu's within it. Use this method everytime, once that is done then by checking wireless is turned on and wireless security turned of, you should at least get a wireless connection. I am assuming your laptop has an inbuilt wireless adapter which is set to connect to any/all available networks. There will most likely be nothing wrong, its just a matter of ticking the right box inside the router config to at least obtain basic connectivity, once you have that sorted you can then go about securing the network.

That makes no sense. I realise the OP has connected to other wireless networks - I commented on the fact earlier!

Talk about being shot down when I'm just trying to help with posting official links - I'm agreeing with you in the repect of no software needs to be installed. As I say I'm merely posting all the appropriate official links so they've got all the info available to make an informed decision.

I tried using the thing above but I got so far and an error came up saying:

Unfortunately the wireless adaptor has not been detected. This probably means the driver software has not been installed that came with the adaptor. We reccomend that you install the adaptor using the CD that came with it

Not really sure what it means by wireless 'adaptor' as my laptop has wireless built in

come back desktop all is forgiven :rolleyes:

Which I why I advised against using this software! Totally unnecessary and it has got you no further on with your wireless connection problem, so not really helpful at all.
