Jessops customer service!!!

Really need to vent some anger:mad: We bought a Fuji s800FD from Jessops, Cardiff in May this year. It was a web offer, I think they were discontinuing the model because we had a really good deal. Anyway, used the camera a few times to get used to it before jetting off for our holiday to Walt disney World, Florida. On the third day of our holiday, the mode dial on the top of the camera fell off! This meant I was not able to change the mode for the rest of the trip, this was the main reason I had upgraded to this camera to be able to get some "different" shots!
On our return, I discovered from googling the camera model that this seemed to be a common fault. I rang Jessops in Cardiff, they offered me a refund or to send it for repair. I knew I wouldn't be able to get the same camera for the same price so agreed to send it off for repair. I took the camera to our local shop in Newport as it is nearer.
Three weeks later the camera was picked up, and after having it home for a few days we noticed that the little door where the USB cable goes into was loose and every time you moved the camera it kept coming open.
We took the camera back to Jessops who again sent it back to Fuji. This time when we picked it up, my husband noticed that the back and front panels were not flush with each other!! We didn't even bring the camera home this time, it was again sent back to Fuji!!
As you can imagine, I am not very happy with Jessops or Fuji, and have been on the phone all week to Jessops "customer services" (a term used looseley as they don't return calls and have a terrible attitude) who still refuse to give us a refund. I wish I had accepted the refund in the first place!!

Can't see how they would 'repair' such things these days.
Would involve lots of cost to keep or have to order spares, and then have someone spend time to take things apart.
Sounds like they replaced the camera with another one each time.
Probably recycling returned cameras with various faults, hoping you won't notice.0 -
Whereas I have had excellent service from Jessops when a lense on my DSLR went 2 weeks before warrenty was up (A Nikon though).
No quibbles, it was taken off me, a "spare" offered for the interim period (which I didn't take), they chased Nikon when it hadn't arrived back on time and called me when it had arrived. They checked it over themselves before they handed it back to me and the item has worked perfectly since. (And it was my original, complete with security markings).
But it is worth noting that the Customer Service is being offered by Jessops where the repair is being offered by someone else, so unless they work together you just end up disilliusioned with both companies.
But I would not hesitate to recommend Jessops for any purchases/repairs etc.0
