This is great news for a lot of people who didn't pay by credit card and thought they'd lost their money. But what about people like myself who have since gone out and bought another carpet instead because I was told my order wouldn't be honoured? Courts have left me a message saying the carpet is ready for delivery. Am I entitled to a refund as they didn't deliver it on the agreed date last week?

  • What happens if you gave them a hefty cash deposit i.e. £700 , like my unfortunate friend did? As she didn't pay in full, will she get a refund of this deposit on Thursday? She went out and bought an alternative table and chairs from elsewhere.
  • Don't you just love a happy ending? My friend went to Courts on Thursday when they re-opened where it was very calm, the staff were dealing with everyone efficiently and people were calmly waiting their turn. She could hear the staff phoning customers to tell them their goods were ready for delivery. There was no hysteria going on she said it was quite a nice atmosphere.

Although she was told that she couldn't get her deposit back, which happened to be £700(!), if she spent at least £1,000 in total in store she could have goods to that value. She saw the table and chairs she had previously ordered, but having already purchased another table and chairs elsewhere, she had to choose something else. She saw a leather suite which she really liked and had almost bought previously anyway, so she paid the balance on her credit card this time. They said they would deliver on Saturday and it arrived at 9.00am on the dot. She's thrilled with the outcome, she's learnt her lesson, she won't pay cash again, I'm so happy for her.

Harvey's is a good store in my experience. I bought a leather sofa suite (3 seater & 2 seater) and they managed to delivery between a week and 2 weeks later. Fantastic service, would definately use them again.

  • Goo news! Just had my table and chairs delivered from Courts, (thought I had lost all money). They really are trying to sort out customers.
