I'm glad you got the job. When do you start? You've paid off a huge amount since you started.

  • Hi Verbatim/Emms

    Thanks for the messages :D

I don't mind everyone welcome and if you have any input on what i'm up to please feel free - especially if i need telling off for over spending :-)

More positivness...just had a chat with my colleagues at work and realised that I only have 1 more Council payment to make in Jan so i've actually paid £20 more off my debt than i thought

  • Definitely - as long as you promise to tell me off too!!! ;)

How great on the council tax - I forgot I get two months off too!! Only realised a day or so ago. The great thing is that will to to either my emergency fund or OD (still can't decide which one to do first despite numerous advice!!) ... rather than a few months ago I may have thought - ooooo what can I spend that on!! A proud DFW moment! :D

Have a great rest of your friday

I know i've spent that money about 3 times over - please to say for the first time in my life on what debt to put it on! its £210 for me so i'm thinking £50 in emergency fund and then £160 off the mortage or Car..can't decide - madness last year it would have been a choice between shoes, dress or something else i didn't really need ah how 12 months change ya!

I'm waiting for the clock managed to find the bar i'm going to on the web and it had a voucher for a free drink if you signed up to their newsletter! so i know have 3 drinks for the evening and thats if the lovely gents of london don't dig deep!

  • Morning All!

Well I would like to thank the lads of London town who funded most of my evening on friday :o (well its not polite to turn down an offered drink is it!). had a great evening and spent the grand sum of £10.00

Failed on the shopping front though £22.00  but thats bought the cat food for the next two weeks (£8 instead of £4) and i bought some de-icer and a scraper £2.50 for the car and a new chopping board £2.60 which accounts for £13.10 of the bill so if i hadn't have done that my bill would have only come to £12.90! so almost my £10 target!

I was very very good and sat in to watch x-factor and strictly so that only cost me the electricity and i went out for sunday roast on sunday with a mate and he bought as we haven't seen each other for my birthday and he said it was a treat!

aiming for a NSD today, i have my lunch and my friend is coming to me for dinner this evening...should have my start date for my new job this week so i'm looking forward to that and they will tell me if they accepted my salary request so EVERYTHING is crossed as of today!

Good luck and here's to another week

  • New boss is in a meeting - waiting for him to give the green light from HR to officially offer me the job - they wont even give me an indication salary...:undecided

    Time goes by so slowly.........................................................................

So day dreaming (as i do) i will have to give notice here meaning my last pay day is the 9th but i will start the job beg. of jan meaning i should hit their new pay roll and get paid end of jan which is only 2 weeks with no cash...hmm wonder how much holiday i have earnt...

its going to be hard going back to monthly pay again! i will have to be even MORE disciplined!! EEK! at the moment if i run out of money by monday i only have 3 days to pay day again BUT it will be nice to budget for a month and pay some chunks rather that pennies here and there...

hope they say yes to my proposal ahhhhhh hate all this waiting!!!!
