  • Thanks Nats!

Almost! not having a massive one this year being very DFW house party both xmas and NYE martin would be proud ! :money:

I'm working right through so very jealous of you and Emms!

At the moment i'm saving work for the week before xmas as its going to be dead  and after yesterdays sucess with Paragon i've just sent my letter to Capital One asking for my PPI to be refunded as i tried to cancel it in 06 and was told it would cost me more and i should just keep it! so if they honour that and the 8% interest i've demanded that might go a fair way to clearing that debt! :j

  • Good Luck on the PPI Claim! I'm waiting for the reply for my one - worth a shot!! I'm debating at the moment about claiming back my charges on my Abbey Card - they are about £600. I have about £1700 on the card... if I claim they may demand I pay off the rest of my card.. but I'm guessing that will be months down the line and I'm planning on paying the Abbey card off first...... just risky as I'm well aware that I can't get a buffer card in a just in case scenario because of my credit history!!

Ahh I'm highjacking your thread now haha should of wrote this on my diary... should I claim now? Or wait a couple of months? xx :D

  • Thanks ElizabethJH no worries Hijack away! *LOL*

Mines a card and they might if they do i'll say ok - wait till the cards finished and then claim! its just a threat from what i've read besides which I think over the last 4 years the total might bring it down enough that i can afford to pay it off the Capital one is the lowest debt next to Paragon Rotters - don't forget you have the 8% interest to add on that £600!

I've just wrote to Cahoot again as well sent them a £10 cheque and asked for my statements for the loan as they are charging well over the odds for fees and the 40 days was up in November

I'm just going to ask them to pay anything i get back into the accounts where i am in debt - anything makes a difference and brings you closer to the DF date aye!

  • Yes - I just want the refund to go straight off my card balance!! I think I'm going to risk it and claim!! I think I might write off to a closed Capital one account at the same time asking for my statements... if there's a couple of hundred to claim on there as well it'll be less risky and will be something more to get rid of Abbey!!

I think I'm going to risk it... you're right with the 8% It'll be more like £700 which leaves me a £1000 to pay off.. if I work very hard then I can do that in 2/3 months and I'm guessing it'll take that long to go through the motions!!

 Here's to getting our charges back :T
