I am probably a bit late to this thread, but I have about £14k in CC debt:eek::eek:, so I am going to join the challenge. Unfortunately the last 2 months have been VERY bad for me as I have had hubby and daughters birthdays, car tax and my bathroom ceiling fell in.

I am a great bargain hunter and pretty good at budgeting,so I will have a nosey round the site and see what else I can do to cut back.

Is it just me or does anyone else find this forum really therapeutic? I felt a lot better last night after posting something on here and having a good old moan. There's nothing like it!:D

    Debt-free and Proud!
I agree..its very very theraputic. Haven't been on for a while as I had a wild weekend last week spending..see my confessional post...but posting the steady decreases to my family's debts is really reassuring and help keep me much more focussed on the goal knowing all those other MSErs are out there going for the same goal. Everyone is in a different space- some people have paid work etc and others not -so its really important no one ever feels discouraged but takes heart from everyones achievements.

Re me after a quiet fortnight another £325 off the debts today as I got paid on Thurs.

    Have a wonderful weekend all

Another 200 of the credit card today brings my total so far this year to just over 15K:j Will be clearing one totally next month and also waiting for an update on mortgage and other card bills which will be in soon. I have some money hidden (so ex's solicitor doesn't find it as it was my work bonus!!!) and once the house is sorted that will come off the mortgage and am keeping my fingers crossed for a good March so I hit all my Quarter 1 sales targets and get some more bonus!!

At least something is going right:o

4 loan payments have come out today, so my debt total has decreased by £781.09 after interest........which takes me just over £5000 paid off since the start of my challenge.....not as much as I had hoped, but still £5000 I never have to repay again, and that I won't get charged interest on, so it is all good stuff!

Keep going guys - we are doing fabulously daaahhhrlinks!
