Have you tried phoning Paypal?

I phoned them a few years ago, and they sorted me out quickly.

this happened to me recently too.,,.... I removed an old e mail address and it caused majoy problems.... done anything like that? they ended up sending me a 'retreval code' to access the money... took 14 days..... just a thought!

There are quite a few different levels of account verification so it's worth checking and the FAQ I linked for you included info about how to accept or claim the money, did you try that?
Sorry if you don't think I'm being helpful, I just had a similar problem myself and it was because they wanted to phone my house to check I was me even though I was already set up as a business seller with a successful shop.

no i've only ever had the one email address linked with paypal.
and i have had this acount since i wa 16, and am now 21

i would phone them but my phones been cut off lol. will email them though
