New Orange tarrif

According to Pocket Lint:
Orange has got around to offering a package which finally links home and mobile broadband.
For about twenty notes a month, "Orange Home & Mobile Broadband" customers get home connection with download speeds of up to 8MB, a free wireless router and all the evening and weekend calls you can eat.
It comes with a USB dongle, download speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps and a download usage allowance of 3GB worth of mobile connection.
How good is Orange Broadband now?

Comments

  • If you listen to their management speak, their customer service is getting better - but they still lost about 40,000 more customers than they gained last quarter.

Personally, I'd look to O2 to for a home/mobile broadband combo.

thats the offer & quite poor as all landline calls go via Orange

and mobile customers get both for £15, but mobile get Home Starter BB for free anyway so no saving there !

this may soften the blow, 10 months 1/2 price Orange Mobile BB, you can then ask Orange for Home Select for free as you have a mobile a/c ( but again landline calls are then billed by Orange with Home Select )

Be careful though if you are reclaiming line rental by redemption.

Ensure you send all bills by recorded delivery and keep a copy of everything.

I've heard some can be a little difficult when it comes to paying back line rental.

However, a few years ago I bought a 12 month free line rental by redemption phone and made sure I got my money back. It did involve several emails and calls to customer service and they tended to take their time to repay. Sometimes I think I only got my money back because I kept badgering them.
    Looking forward to the future.
