E-Bay - Selling Of R4DS Cards

Hello,
I sold some of these on Ebay, however i paid the concesquencies (sp?), i put them on ebay buy it now immediate payment, as soon as the listing was put on and one was sold, ebay removed the listing, i then put it straight back on. I managed it about 25 or so times, before ebay closed my account down. As i knew the buyers would get an email stating the listing had been taken down, i sent them an email as soon as they had bought the item explaining they would still get the item.
So what i am saying is you could sell them on ebay but will probably loose your account, another place is ebid.co.uk, if not what about back on Amazon, if they are the geniune r4 1.18 version and you put this in your listing you might get some interest.
Good luck.
It is worth setting up a second ebay account do you think?

Lose one ebay account and you lose the lot, for ever.
Ebay do not lalow any modification widgets, or anything that is capable of being used to pirate goods, there is also a huge list of 'questionable' electronic items that are tricky to sell, and some on the list are quite surprising:
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/electronics.html
basically though if you have been stopped once you would be foolish to try again.
Amazon do have similar policies but tend to be slower to pull sales as less people can work out how to rpeort them, on ebay all they have to do is hit the 'report this item' button, on Amazon they have to struggle through all the help pages and emails just to report something. My experience of ebid is that they do seem to sell a lot of questionable material and their forums are full of people saying how they are selling on ebid as ebay have banned them..although personally I find that an odd thing for ebid to be proud of!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. As for mod chips, that policy is expanded to other items here:
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/mod-chips.html
But I have no idea whether your item could be seen to be included in that section?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi Soo, R4DS let you play downloaded games, including commercial ones that have been ripped from genuine DS cartridges, so they are certainly included in that section.0 -

I got banned for selling a Pandora battery (a battery for a PSP that lets you flash the firmware) because it's a "modchip" so don't be too careful.
You won't get any sense out of eBay, unfortunately...Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -

There is sense there if it is written into their policy.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. A battery (yes, a bloody battery) is NOT a modchip. And yet eBay says you cannot sell devices that COULD enable piracy (i.e. modchips) - even though I was just selling a battery.
Whenever I contact eBay all I get is "we have carefully assessed your request, and we have found we are right. No further correspondents will be answered".
Either way - on this sort of stuff eBay take the reports from your competitors rather than pro-actively policing it.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -
Also eBay told me:
Any associated fees have been credited to your account and any bidders on this item have been notified.
But get this - they charged me a Final Value Fee of £3.46 as the item sold on BIN for £35 and kept the money...
...seems a little two faced - 'No Dudeness you can't sell these but we'll keep our cut from the one you sold and no feedback for you.'
I've been an eBay member since early 2005, my 100% feedback rating is well over 600 and I seem to being penalised for selling what is a legal item...
Think I'll be checking out ebid tonite - thanks for all the guidance.

its a bit naughty of ebay in my opinion as these are NOT modchips, yes we all know what they are capable of doing should you choose to download ripped off gmaes but whatever happened to consumer choice. They are legally sold as brilliant devices to use homebrew software and also I believe you are legally allowed to backup your nintendo games and play them as files so that your kids dont run the risk of breaking the genuine cartridges, this is fine isnt it? I can understand why modchips are banned but to not sell these DS cards is just daft.
I wouldnt have thought you would have any problem selling 7 R4 cards on to be honest. Tell a mate who will tell a mate who will tell a mate and so on. they really a re a great bit of kit, Im sure you wont lose any money.0
