computer clock loosing time

Really? The default for Windows is to synchronise once every seven days, if it can connect to the time server.
Did I mention a time scale? And if you had read the second post from the OP:Hours and eventually days
This would suggest to me that Windows is syncronising the clock, and as the days go by it is "loosing hours and then days" until it next syncs , reapeat every seven days.0 -
Did I mention a time scale?
Yes you did actually:The battery is not rechargeable, so what happens is this:
You power the PC up and Windows will connect to a server to determine the correct date and time, you can turn this off but it is on by default......................
It certainly does not connect to a server each time "you power the PC up" unless the default value in the registry has been changed. Therefore the information that you posted is incorrect.
:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Read my post again and tell me exactly where I stated a timescale, I merely stated:
" You power the PC up and Windows will connect to a server to determine the correct date and time"
I did not once say each time

Can anyone tell me who first made the comment about "two bald men fighting over which of them will be first to use the comb" ?0
