It doesn't always pass either. My 16 yo would still rather hold it than poo in any toilet but ours.

When he went on School Trip, aged 10, his postcard said "I am missing you and my toilet." :rotfl:

    aww bless him!

Some people don't grow out of it, my DH will only go at his sisters or at home!
If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!

My boy (age 3.5) does tend to do them at home, generally in the evenings, and has done for quite some time now. When he was a baby I don't remember changing too many pooey nappies when out and about either...

all three of mine did that bringmeshoes - very handy as pooing in a wet nappy causes nappy rash

Pooing in a dry nappy also causes nappy rash!

What Freud described as being anal retentive.
What I describe as good manners.

Is it just boys that do it? Men do seem to be very odd about pooing even as adults.

  • My son was similar when he was a baby and even now (he's just turned 6) he tends to wait till he gets home and prefers to take a comic in to the toilet to read :D

My daughter however has always been happy to poo wherever and whenever!

I don’t have children but I am quite particular about where I 'go'!! I think it’s a comfort thing - I like to relax and take my time (possibly even have a read of a book!) so things such as going in other peoples houses or in public places are a no-no - I cant relax so don’t go!! If I am REALLY desperate and I am out and about such as in a pub then I will go but it has to be in a pub that I have been in a few times and I feel comfortable in!

I think as well I don’t want people who I am out and about with to know what I am doing in the toilet!!!!

Im a girl who is 28 BTW!!!

It's only ever going to be one of two things - what's the big deal? I'll go anywhere, if I need to go. I've never understood why people are weird about it.

I'm with you skinty... When you've got to go, you've got to go... My daughters not fussy either... She often uses the school facilities... Although at 4, and with a 1 sheet only compulsion... I can always tell when she's been!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
