ok thank you, it has asked me about a few already, i will do a scan tomorrow after i have entered the lience number in. thanks again for all your help.

my pc is a LOT quicker now so main reason must have been that mcafee

hi, well have done a scan with avast then realised it didnt scan everything so have now increased the levels hopefully thats right, i re read this post and saw you mention that i needed spybot can you tell me if i still do as i downloaded the pctools?

Yes, PCtools only stops connections through the internet
Spybots IMMUNISE feature will stop certain nasties from getting onto your hard drive

Its fine to move the slider to scan all

PCtools is a firewall, you should still download Spybot S&D here, install, immunize and then do a full scan. You will need to manually update Spybot once a week, updates are usually released every Wednesday, after downloading the updates, immunize again.

The top download box is the Spybot program and the bottom box is to manually download the latest updates which you will do automatically during the install process.
