Actually I was about to do so (to call the small claims court) while the Trading Standard called me back, so I let them doing their investigation.
When we call FXA we often speak to people from Zipp Card, another company. They must be located in the same building as supposed. Does anyone know about that company?
I can't beleive they still do open new accounts and accept money, althought Barclays Default departmenet is aware about the complaints at least since yesterday and doing investigation!!
Also I can not believe FXA still do not mention anything on their website (as well) like they are haviong "temporary problems"!! Ans also they come first on google with wonderfull infromation about them... apart from this forum that make us feel less alone!0 -
Hi, as you can see, we are many clients and chatting in this forum that are in the same boat... Call trading Standard 01296382649.0

Alex,
I called Barclays bank, and the person I spoke to took the details and said he would forward them to the FXA World account manager (i.e.the Barclays peron who has FXA on his books). He said he could not give out any information because of confidentiality. I don't think they will freeze FXA's account, but it would certainly help if the account manager is aware of the complaints. The number to call at Barclays is 0845 050 4585.
BTW: if you are reporting to the police, Amersham is in the Thames Valley police area, 01865 841 148 (not metropolitan police).0 -
Spoke to the person who is co-ordinating this at Trading Standards - Adrian Schwab (thanks to Carisc for the info!) - who told me that the accounts have been frozen at Barclays since 11 June (guess who sent their money on 10 June?) and that Barclays are working through the accounts to determine who is entitled to what. I sent him all my account information and this is being passed onto Barclays - no idea as to how long this will take, or even if there is any money there. No need to contact police or anyone else as they are all aware that this is a big issue - would reinforce the advice to contact trading standards on the number given earlier. Ringing FXA is a waste of time and energy! Cheers!0

does that mean that if we don't call to Trading Standards our chances for transfer of funds are reduced ?
i'm trying to call them from abroad using this number:
0044 01296382649
but the operator says that the number is invalid?0 -
Kamen, from abroad ring 00 44 1296 382649. That should do it. I think now the police are involved you need to send details (via trading standards) and they'll then work out who is entitled to what - Trading Standards are doing a good job. Good luck.0

Everyone posting about FXA world is a first time poster who appears to have joined MSE for no other reason but to trash the company.
Is it just me?0 -
thanks, i called 00 44 1296 382649 , explained the problem and got a reference number for a call or e-mail back, which is supposed to happen in a few days.0

actually this forum is the only result from google that unveils the default of payments of the company, and nothing else... all other results just recommand to deal with FXA! We can understand why some people are still sending money to them...!
