  • HELP!
My daughter has been living in Asia for 10 years (Singapore and Sarawak) and has now returned to the UK. She has a Singapore bank account and wants to move the money back to the UK at a good exchange rate and securely.
I can't find any reference to doing this, only moving money FROM the UK.
Anyone had this experience who can advise?

It's no different, with a service such as TransferWise you can fund a transfer from an account in various countries, including Singapore, as long as the account is in your own name.
    Evolution, not revolution

It might be worth investigating 'Transferwise' (online and app) and 'revolut' (app only).

They're both international, safe, secure, and have the best exchange rates.

Singapore is huge in the financial sector, so I'm confident it'll be very well catered for.

    With Kind Regards

Do you want a cast iron 100% guarantee the money arrives?

Or prepared to take a tiny risk to get a much better rate?

Hello I would like to transfer £1k to Indonesia.
The recipient account is in £, so I need it to be sent as £.
My bank said they charge £25 for a transfer, so I'm looking for a better provider
    Any ideas?

  • A have analysed that question. I am living in Ukraine.
For permanent transfers from EU i am using Payoneer card.
For one transfer there are more options: wired transfer (swift), western union, etc.
Preferred option depends from the transferred sum.

Headsup to anyone who made large currency transactions with RBS group banks (e.g. Natwest) between 2010 and 2014 .

The Royal Bank of Scotland is to pay £40m in compensation to 730,000 customers after it uncovered a group of rogue staff “skimming” cash on foreign money transfers over four years.
