Uh? I thought that the mobile phone companies paid for the mobile phone masts. Won't it be their customers that pay for it?
BTW, does anyone have a quick link to the 21CN rollout by exchange? Would be interested to see when we'll get it...0 -

There's nothing wrong with being defiant about it.
And I thought the drawing was excellent - no unnecessary detail to distract from the outline.
Not sure why you think the shareholders will be the ones to pay - are they going to write to them and ask for a whip round?
If it is in fact a mobile phone mast, it's more likely the mobile phone co. management will decide where and how to recover the costs. A proportion may come from paying customers, a proportion might come from reducing dividend payments to shareholders.0 -
They may also recoup money selling space on masts to other operators0

Might not be a good idea to consider a new career as a financial journalist (however defiantly).
I don't claim to be a financial expert. But the two main ways in which shareholders ~could~ pay are either via share price or dividend. Both are determined by a complex mix of factors, and won't be directly linked to any individual cost item - such as the building of a new mast.
Perhaps you can provide a coherent explanation of your statement that "shareholders will pay for it"?
I doubt you will.0 -
The value of a shareholder's investment cannot be directly linked to any individual cost item. It (the share price) is based on an aggregate of factors, including both income and costs, among many others.
Feel free to have the last word - I know you want to.0
