The MI12 is given to you by the Jobcentre so if they need it so early in the claim they'll give you one when you go in for your interview. You complete it with details of your lender, send it on to the lender who completes the rest with details of your mortgage/loan(s). They sent it back.

I'm not really sure if we do have to do that bit yet, I just saw it on the JSA3 'document checklist' and immediately worried about it! The only box that's been ticked is the one that says we should supply 'this aplication form', so I guess that means they don't want it yet.

Anyway, thank you for the info, at least when it comes to that point I will know what it's about

Seeing as there's currently a 39 week wait until your entitlement to mortgage interest kicks in I doubt they'll need it yet. However due to the reduction in the waiting period from January and the way things are changing so quickly at the moment they might have decided they need it earlier. They certainly don't need it to process your basic entitlement as it is only for the mortgage. Just ask when you have to speak to the assessor
