i use lock and lock. they are fantastic. you can get them on ebay for around £4 plus postage if u only want 1 or lakeland if your gonna order over £50 you get free postage. the lock and lock flour ones hold 1 whole bag of flour. my whole cupboard is full of lock and lock in various sizes and i keep everything in my baking cupboard in them labelled up.0

as i mentioned on another threa i use lock and lock for everything. my entire baking cupboard apart from things like 100 & 1000 ( not found any small enought yet)and alike are in them. i'll post a picture later as altough lock nad lock aren't the nicest looking storage. when whole cupboard is full of them it makes cupboard look so neat and tidy.0

Ooooo, how lovely and neat
I've been thinking about investing in some bits of lock and lock for all my baking stuff, and I'm pleased to see how tidy it all looks. I like the idea that it's unlikley to go out of production any time soon so I'll be able to buy/replace slowly, as I can afford it. Thanks for the pic!

Wow, that cupboard looks amazing!
I've since decided to just buy a big tupperware tub the width of the cupboard. Maybe 2 actually, one for open bags and then one for unopened which can go on the top or wherever. Then all my icing sugar etc can all go in it and i can just get the whole tub out on baking day. I decided this cos I like to see the date on the packet or whatever so have gone off the idea of tipping it out...
If tubs that big exist, that is. I can't see any that big on lakeland but I will have a look in wilkos or somewhere when I am back in the UK next week :-)
Thanks for replies everyone, and thanks for merging the thread, I am no good at searching!0 -
gingernutmeg i ben collecting the lock and locks for about a year before my cupboard got to the amount it is now. mainly due to i didn't wanna rush out and buy loads and then find i didn't have right size's. but thankyou GN and SS i find it so much easier having my baking cupboard organised like this as i know where everything is and it close to hand.0

For those worried about bugs in their flour etc, put a bay leaf in the tub - it won't taint it but bugs can smell it and hat it, they won't come near.0

JC try Debenhams dot com (when they have a sale on...plus Quidco)they do some really great small sizes I've filled my cupborads with the 700ml round ones which I usually pick up for around £2 a throwPerfect size for your stash of supercook goodies and also a great size for a bag of pearl barley etc
