Have only just joined the site, sorry if I bring up a previous "hot potato" but having previously invested in Kaupthingedge and removed the bulk of funds, we re-contacted them by telephone and on two occasions they confirmed that they were now trading as normal but under the ING banner. Given the strength of the rates on offer and trying to jump in on a fixed 6month, we transfered a large sum ( but within INGs limit) back into my wife's account. We just missed the transfer deadline for chaps from Northern Rock and the money went on 7th November 2008. The money has since never appeared in the Kaupthing Edge account, we have made numerous telephone calls written recorded letters to Kaupthing edge and ING at Reading, each saying the other is responsible for the account operation, even the administrators wrote saying they had passed details to ING Reading, who on the telephone say they hold no details. I have since read that Kaupthingedge were prohibited by the FSA from taking in any more savings on 8th October 2008.
We are writing to the FSA regarding this, any ideas how we can locate/get our money back ????

I would suggest that you change the title of this thread to something more relevant than Realtime.
