  • This site is great for kids and the adults, the santa tracker is great keeps the kids entertained on xmas eve! www.northpole.com

also here are some ideas i did last year and they worked a treat for me

my two boys were getting so excited and would not go to bed last christmas on many of the nights on the run up to christmas. so the night before xmas eve i told them the elves were coming that night to put ticks or crosses on their doors to indicate if they had been naughty or nice and if they would get presents! it worked great, they went to bed early. i printed out some massive ticks and laminated them and stuck them on their door. they were so pleased and excited the next morning, i also out some on my door,we had a laugh and the kids thought the elves had been. i guess i invented a new tradition in our house!!

i also had a sack on xmas morning with a big note from santa saying that this was a sharing sack and only boys prepared to share could open the presents inside. this also worked a treat. my two boys are close in age and want similar things so i didnt want but two of everything!!

sorry for rambling but i just thought someone else might like my ideas or perhaps add some of their own!

What matters most is how well you walk through the fire
  • hi the tracker works by showing the whereabouts of santa all over the world, and then as he is getting closer to the uk the kids cant wait to go to bed! its like a map and shows santa and his sleigh, its really good even had me believing!!

  • Hi,

Interesting thread. For those with a printer, I thought I'd add that I recently came across a couple of free short santa letters that are printable here: http://www.rooftoppost.co.uk/fairyland_freebies.html

They're specific to particular things like there's one for Santa knowing that you'll be away for Christmas and another one (presumably for an ill child) saying get well soon from Santa... but still useful.

There's a free certificate from the elves there too, which went down well with my daughter.

(BTW The site above does sell other letters that they charge for, but I think it's nice to see the inclusion of a few freebies for once!)

Santa is extremely busy at the North Pole, making sure all the presents, including yours, are ready and wrapped for Christmas Eve.

It’s a very exciting time for all; Rudolph and Santa can’t wait to land at your home with all your gifts. Rudolph is especially looking forward to eating the carrots you kindly leave and maybe a mince pie for Santa…

To ensure Santa receives your letter on time please can you send to the following address:

    Santa/Father Christmas,
    Santa’s Grotto,
    Reindeerland,
    SAN TA1

Santa will respond to as many letters as possible, in between getting the sleigh ready for the long journey on Christmas Eve.

In your letter please write clearly your name and address and attach either a 1st or 2nd class stamp to the envelope.

Be good and enjoy your holidays,
    Santa
